Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote celebrated his 60th birthday on April 10, 2017, and musicians like Davido and Psquare were there to celebrate with him. Also seen at the grand event was Pa Adeleke, Davido's father and King Sunny Ade and even Ebony Life TV boss, Mo Abudu. Jude Okoye was also noticed dancing to the beats with other Nigerian business giants. DJ Jimmy Jatt was at the wheels of steel for the event and Dangote did a 'slow' dance with his family, as Davido sang his latest single, ‘IF’.

Aliko Dangote, who is a holder of the title Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger GCON was born in 10 April 1957, he is a Nigerian-born and bred but internationally known billionaire, he is the chairman of the Dangote Group, which has peculiarities in wares. The group performs its operations in Nigeria and many other neighbouring African countries, such as Benin, Ethiopia, Senegal, Cameroon, Ghana, South Africa, Togo, Tanzania, and Zambia. looking at it from February 2017, he had an approximated net worth of US$12.5 billion.

Dangote is rated by Forbes magazine to be the 67th (Sixty Seventh) wealthiest individual across the globe and the wealthiest across the continent of Africa; he came highest on the catalogue to be the 23rd wealthiest person across the globe in the year 2014.

He went beyond Saudi-Ethiopian billionaire Mohammed Hussein Al Amoudi towards the year 2013 by more than $2.6 billion to grow to be the world's wealthiest individual of African origin.The Dangote Company was birthed in form of a minute trading organization in the year 1977, the same time Dangote changed his domicile to Lagos to increase the company. Dangote has ventured into telecommunications and has begun the building of 14,000 kilometres of fibre optic cables to reach out to the entirety of Nigeria. Therefore, Dangote was dubbed in January 2009 as the top provider of employment in the Nigerian construction industry.
In his own words, He is quoted as saying: "Let me tell you this and I want to really emphasize it, nothing is going to help Nigeria like Nigerians bringing back their money. If you give me $5 billion today, I will invest everything here in Nigeria. Let us put our heads together and work."
