The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), just found over four hundred million naira all in cash in an abandoned bureau de change in Lagos. it was said to be found in an abandoned building.

Baby Stabbed and dumped by mother.

The police has charged a 26-year-old mother in Burnley, Lancashire, England of stabbing her newborn-baby girl to death and dumping the remains in a waste bin. Punch said that the body of the baby was located in the kitchen bin and following post-mortem, was noticed to have died from multiple stab wounds. The woman, Rachel Tunstill, who is a graduate of the University of Lancashire, was arraigned and has been charged with the murder of her child.

An honourable member of the House of Representatives was lynched as some young adults in his constituency came on him and gave him a lasting beating. If not for quick Intervention, the member representing Paiko Federal Constituency of Niger State, Hon. Salihu Adamu would have died. Daily Trust reported that the angry youths also destroyed the official car of the law-maker while his driver was also injured. It was reported that it all began at the time when the honourable representative came into one of the suburbs in his constituency to grace a socio-political gathering and the mob who were reported to have resented lawmaker, took offence in his gracing the gathering because he had not visited them ever since he had been elected some two years ago.
