14-year old Girl receives Acid bath on Birthday.

14-year-old girl, Victoria Emmanuel is struggling for her life at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) after sustaining severe burns as one of her friends bathed her with acid on her birthday. Guardian reports that one of her friends identified to be Moshood Yusuf put the the corrosive substance on her by unknowingly while she was celebrating her birthday on March 29, 2017, around the night market at Mafoluku, Oshodi area of Lagos State. It was said that while Emmanuel and her friends were celebrating her coming of age with many of them pouring water on her body, the 13-year-old Yusuf entered a woman’s shop, came out with a bottle and emptied its content on her not knowing that the content of the bottle was acid. Victoria in her own words however said: It was my birthday. I had gone to fetch water at the night market when my friends stopped me on the road and started pouring the water on me to celebrate my birthday. Some were pouring dirty water on me and others were pouring sand. That was how Moshood ran into Iyawo Pastor’s shop and brought out a container.

Today marks popular comedian and singer, Julius Agwu's birthday. Given birth to in April 7, 1973, Julius Agwu is known as a stand up comedian, musician and actor who was born to Chief Augustine Amadi Agwu and Mrs Mary Agwu.
